Hoping that this week's April showers will bring May flowers! Last week, we learned more about how to take care of the Earth in honor of Earth Day. We are also waiting for the seeds we planted to grow. Due to student interest, we revamped our dramatic play center by adding instruments and pretended to be at a concert rather than a movie theater!
We will be investigating several different scientific concepts in centers this week. We will be building and playing with ramps in the block center. We will also be investigating whether items sink or float in our sensory table and learning about the life cycle of a butterfly in our science center. We will continue to work on our Trimester 3 literacy and math learning targets to make the most of our last month of learning!
This Tuesday, April 30th is an early release day. The AM class will dismiss at 10:10 AM and the PM class will dismiss at 2:05 PM. On early release days, AM ECSE students will not go to their general education classrooms for centers due to the shortened schedule.
A friendly reminder to please make sure you are sending your child to school with a snack from the safe snack list each day (except for early release days). Since it is almost the end of the year, I am almost out of Cheerios and will not be able to provide them to students who forget their snack or bring something that isn't on the list. Thank you as always for your understanding and cooperation!
Field Day is coming up on Thursday, May 23rd. There are still a few PM volunteer spots available if you are interested in helping out with this event! I am including the link here.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and have a great week!
